1st Week in SISPEC!
Here are the answers to the FAQs:
> I'm in Golf company. And yes this company is very kiasu, never failing to wake up the earliest in the cluster!
> I will be posted out in exactly 2 months time - February 21st :) Prayerfully not Guards, not ASLC & not any of those SIRs! HAHA! Do pray for my next posting! :D MP MP ALL THE WAY! HAHA!
> I will pass out as 3rd sergeant in approximately 6 months time :)
Travelling time sucks man. Sucks big time. Around 1hour 30mins for me to get there! I better get an approvable mp3 soon!!
Anyway, my new section of 15 people rocks! I can feel the friendship atmosphere again :) not like in BMT where there was more of a judgemental atmosphere where most of them was trying to prove everyone wrong... -.-" Losers. Few of those losers are still in my bunk -_-" But, they're doing better now. Not as assholic as before. Thank God. Haha.
I'm much more of myself now, talking to people, enjoying them and getting to know them :) I hope this time I'll bring a best friend out of here :)
Good thing about not being in BMT is:
1) You can book in and out in civilian clothing :D
2) Book in time is late. For SISPEC it's 9pm -_-" But we never get 9pm book-ins in BMT before...Haha.
3) No waiting for ferries!
4) No hearing of "EVERYTHING OUT!!" when you reach coyline. Haha!
The bunk condition in SISPEC is much worse than in BMT. Bunks here are old and dirty and dusty unlike in Tekong.
And not to mention, the TOILETS! The toilets here in SISPEC are much dirtier and the shower....ESPECIALLY the shower...requires you to hold the faucet (the button to press for the water to come out) all the way!! In BMT, you press the faucet one time and the water runs on for like 30 seconds. In SISPEC, it's directly proportional. Press 1 second = 1 second of water. -___-"
As for my company, for the pass 3 nights we had 3, 4 and 5 hours of sleep respectively. The schedule is so tight that we barely have time to 'lay-pa' (relax) in bunk. Our whole company had a mere 20mins on the 2nd night to bathe, brush teeth & SMS/talk on the phone...
Our latest fall in timing was 515am! With the earliest being 5am! When we fall in, our neighbouring companies Hotel & Juliet were still fast asleep... -.- We'd then carry on with our static exercises - Bridges, Crunches, Tuck jumps, High jumper, pull ups and 3km run!!
This is our routine every morning! My gosh. We had 5bx in BMT, in SISPEC we have 20bx man. We have our breakfast all sweaty and tired...O well, this shall help my achieve my gold for IPPT! :) HAHA!
But overall, my experience there was ok :) For once I don't dread booking in as much because now I know there are friends in my bunk...not a bunch of bodohs trying to prove their mettle verbally...
So yup, with pride I shall lead, SISPEC! :D
Cai Jie's wedding :D
The romantic 2 are none other than Cai Jie & Cheryl :) Haha. Congrats! :)
Dating for 8 years is no joke. After 3-4 years, things may start to get boring. Haha. But for them, it got even more interesting...haha.
Anyway, all my pictures w/ Cheryl & Cai Jie together are all in their photographers camera...So if you're like my mum wondering why I didn't take a picture with the both of them, it's because I utilised the professionals' camera :D haha.
On with the massive cam-whoring :D
Wedding Ceremony @ Harvester :)

Daryl & myself :)

Me & Melvin! :) It's been so long since I snapped a photo with him :) haha.

Yang, Raymond, Kirk, Me, Elson & Dylan in the background...haha.

Wee Jun & I :D

Ps Aaron & myself :)

Jake, me (w/o cap) & Anthony :D

Me, Jon Wee, Anne, Eunice & Xiao Hua :)
Wedding Dinner @ Swissotel, Clarke Quay :D
This was entirely Jeremy's idea...HAHA! The photo frame became an object of cam whoring...HAHA! Refer to my facebook for all the photos :D haha.

Christopher, Marc, David, Me & Jeremy :)
This is the part when we went up to the bride's room :) haha.
Weddings are so cool and lavishly expensive. Thank God they invited ppl like me who give quite generously :D HAHAHA!
Their wedding ceremony was pretty cool :D And had a quite a touch of sweetness when Cai Jie sang "I Will Be Here" to a smiling Cheryl who smiled throughout the whole song. HAHAHA! That required good SAF muscles man...HAHAHA!
But I really want a out-of-this-world wedding ceremony for mine. I was thinking maybe me & my wife could do a little play on how we met each other or something like that...Or we could sing a duet or do a MTV for our wedding? HAHAHA! I'm not in for mediocre...LOLS!
We'll see how when my turn comes...HAHA! :) If it does that is......haha! Ah, of course it will. :)
Once again, congrats Cai Jie & Cheryl! It was a long-awaited marriage! HAHAHA! May God bless you guys with many kids! :D haha!

Church Camp 2009! :)
And zun zun my 10 days block leave after my POP coincided with the church camp dates! For once the secular and the spiritual timetables met! HAHAHA! Whatever...LOLS.
Once again, the chronological approach shall be the format of my blog post :) haha.
Day 0, Sunday
Setting off for Malacca :) The cool thing about this year's transportation is, the coaches that brought us there have 2 levels! The 1st level (in the picture below) is the lounge, and the 2nd level the seats for everyone.
Halfway through the trip, we decided to play cards :)

Darren, Zhi Xian, Ashley & myself :)
Upon arrival, we checked in and...SHOPPED! HAHA! I saw this super nice shirt which I wanted to buy, but they only had XL size left -_-"

The shirt I loved......haha
After that we went for "service". It's in inverted commas because it was only a karaoke session...ok it was titled welcome service on the schedule.
Why the need for singing a few Christian worship songs without actually entering into the presence of God? Why bother have a welcome service? We might as well have orange juice in the lounge...To me, we should have a power-packed intense service to set / up our expectations for the rest of the church camp...
With such a nua "welcome service" it made the camp start off with a lazy spiritual atmosphere...
Anyway, we headed to the night market for SHOPPING again! :) haha.
Rebekah & I came across this cool hat stall at the beginning of the whole stretch and we tried out the hats and bought it...So fast right? Cos it was only 10 RM! :D
After walking further down the stretch of pasar malam stalls, we found other shops selling the same hats @ 6RM!!!!!!
Lesson learnt: Recce the area and compare prices first! haha!

Me & Rebekah in the hats we bought :) The sunglasses were ANTHONY'S IDEA! I look like some China ticko man!!! HAHAHA!

Us again in the hats :)

Daniel & I after our sweaty shopping spree...as can be seen from my shirt..HAHA!

Me & Daryl! :) In our room toilet...haha! :D
Day 1, Monday
I didn't take much pictures on the 1st day...Haha. I was in full white outfit! :D HAHA!
Daniel, Gabriel, Anthony & myself went to watch Feng Yun 2! :D The tickets there are cheap man (in comparison to S'pore..duh..haha), they only cost 10RM per ticket! :D

Gabriel & I outside Golden Screen Cinemas :) I wonder..does Golden Village in S'pore have anything to do with Golden Screen in M'sia? HAHA.
Anyway, Feng Yun 2 was rather boring...1stly, the show was in CANTONESE! 2ndly, the show storyling sucked...they were catching some legendary spinal bone and in the end that spinal bone broke and nothing happened...they just continued fighting.
The whole show was sound effects and graphical animations. The actors just put hold their swords forward and all the lasers and smoke layers will be added on by the graphic engineers..HAHA!
Anthony slept through 1/2 the show by the way. HAHA! And Daniel slept through 1/4 of the show..HAHAHA!

Random shot...haha. Daryl gave me a flower! :D Ok..that flower was unwanted. So percy gave it to him and he gave it to me...haha...no bromance involved! :D hahaha.
That night was memorable :) Abigail, Anna, Rebekah, Janice, Eunice Yeo & I had a HTHT session over cakes - courtesy of Rebekah :) - and a card game "Slamwich"! :)

Me & Abigail :) I'm in Rebekah's hat & she's in mine :D
After the session with my best girl friends, I had a nice time with my cell member Johan...we played Chinese Chess! :D HAHAHA!
We were later accompanied by Ashley & Azriel too :) Anthony & Shawn visited our chess club too :D HAHA!
The last day!! After sermon was a massive photo-taking session :)

Jeremy & I :)

Me, Ps Irvin Rutherford & Jeremy :) [the pastor abbreviation is not limited to the former :D HAHA!]

Joshua, Aaron & Myself :)

Lebbeus & I :D

Daryl deary & myself :)

Apart from the fun...let me return to my checklist, in my previous post:
1) I want to get to know 3 people better.
2) I want to have an encounter with God. Be it a reassurance touch, confirmation of direction, re-ignition of my passion, etc...
3) I want to fulfill my shopping list!!! :D :D HAHAHA!
4) I want to be punctual for all services! :D
I barely met this expectation. Almost voided this expectation on the last day. HAHAHA! Slept @ like 4am and had to wake up by 830am...haha. It's like training in the army man...LOLS!
Yup...Overall, this camp has been pretty fulfilling. But I do hope that our congregations' expectations of meeting with God will rise because it reflects in the nua atmosphere. The members rely heavily on the nudging and pushing of the worship leader, pastor & emcee before they start to worship.
Maybe I'm wrong. But if I am, and the atmosphere and encounters were that good, the influx of NEW believers should be much more than the current 0% Not just newcomers, but retaining and discipling them.
Ok, let me not get into these issues. HAHA! I shall do whatever I can in the youth and hope that God will do the rest :)

Off to Church Camp! :D
After church camp, my parents will be driving up to pick us and we'll continue our holiday from there and we'll be back by Friday :D
I'm rooming with my bestie Daryl so I'm sure it'll be pretty fun :D Anyway, let me think on the spot now some expectations I have for this camp...Hmmm...
1) I want to get to know 3 people better. Is it measurable? O well, I'll put in the effort to at least like know something more about 3 more peeps :D
2) I want to have an encounter with God. Be it a reassurance touch, confirmation of direction, re-ignition of my passion, etc...
3) I want to fulfill my shopping list!!! :D :D HAHAHA!
4) I want to be punctual for all services! :D
Yup, I hope I'll come back feeling a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment :D See you guys who're not going next friday! :)
3rd day of being a civilian :D
I played mainly with Daniel, Anthony, Matthew & Jeremy Teo cos the rest of my zone members refused to play with us... -.-" haha.
Matthew & I were playing against Anthony & Daniel when suddenly, Anthony decided to make things interesting...The losing team will down 200 push ups! HAHA! We took on the challenge...and we got the 200 push ups!! HAHAHA!
I did 50 & Matthew did 150. HAHA! Matthew being an OCT (Officer Cadet) should be fitter than me and should train more. HAHAHA!
Up till now, my hands are aching...haha..Haven't done that many push-ups at one shot for quite some time already...haha.
After that, Matthew came to my place and we had a match of the good Ol' Counterstrike (CS) V1.6. haha. It was me & my sister VS matthew & my brother...haha...Apparently, Matthew haven't gone through ATP (Advanced Trainfire Package) that's why he keep kena owned by me & my sis. HAHA! We played until Matthew needed to leave for his camp...sad. Haha.
Next we had dinner @ Sakae Teppanyaki @ Century Square with our grandparents (Dad's side) The food was really good :D haha.
